Home Using the Library Library Study Spaces

The LRC is a place for study and research. You can choose to work quietly on your own at a desk, individually at a PC or use the group work table for project or group work. To facilitate these different study needs, the Carlow Campus library is divided into different library zones.

Library Zones

The Quiet Room:
  • Individual study only
  • Total silence
  • Mobile phone use prohibited
  • No noise from headphones
Rest of ground Floor
  • For individual study
  • No group studying
  • No noise from headphones
First floor
  • Group tables may be used for project work
  • Conversation and group study permitted at an appropriate noise level

Second Floor
  • Group tables may be used for project work
  • Conversation and group study permitted at an appropriate noise level

Luke Wadding Library, Waterford

Seminar Rooms:

There are three rooms on the basement floor of the library, which are dedicated to quiet group study and can be booked by groups of up to eight students at a time, for no more than two hours per day. Click here to book a room

 

Group Study Area, Top Floor:

This area is dedicated to students who wish to collaborate in an open-plan environment.  The library rules relating to respectful behaviour and consideration for others still apply.

College Street Library, Waterford

Study Room:

There is a quiet study room across the corridor from the library on the College Street campus library.  It is outside the library and anyone can use this for quiet study at any time.

The Wexford campus library is open to all SETU students and staff, offering a welcoming space for study and research.

Study Stations:

Our library features 23 individual study stations, with an additional 18 spaces in the side aisles.
