The PACE Programme

SETU Carlow Campus, in collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Centre, has developed The PACE Programme—a series of modules designed to help you Plan, Access, Critique, and Evaluate library resources. These modules are crafted to support your studies and assist you in completing assignments more effectively.

You can explore the published modules linked below, or access them anytime on the TLC Student Hub on Blackboard:

Module 1: Using the library and online library. This module guides you though accessing library resources and using your library account.

Module 2: Your first assignment. This module provides support to get started with your first assignment, including locating journals and using databases.

Module 3: Citations and references. This module looks at how to include citations in your writing and how to format references using the SETU Harvard Referencing system.

Module 4: Writing a literature review. This module guides you though sourcing, collating and composing your literature review.

Consultation Service

The library staff provide an information service to all users. Most information queries can be handled at the issue desk, but in addition appointments can be made with any of the Liaison Librarians to discuss more extensive information finding queries. To book an appointment please contact the library issue desk, or the Liaison Librarians, Brigid Carey  or Ronan Lynch. Students and staff on the Wexford Campus can contact Kim Harte.

Library Desk

The library desk is located just inside the entrance to the Learning Resource Centre on the Carlow Campus and to the left as you enter the Wexford Campus Library. If you wish to borrow or to return library material or if you need information assistance, call to this desk and we’ll be happy to help.
